Software engineer building distributed systems, AI-powered platforms, and the occasional trading bot.
I spent three and a half years at ION Trading building trade-processing systems for global financial institutions — working across C#, Java, and C++, integrating Kafka and ActiveMQ for real-time data exchange, and automating infrastructure that cut multi-week processes down to minutes.
Now I'm at San Jose State University earning my Master's in Computer Software Engineering, where I've built everything from a self-healing microservice mesh with AI-driven root-cause analysis to a clinical decision-support engine with auditable diagnoses. I care about clean architecture, distributed systems, and using AI where it genuinely earns its place.
Outside coursework, I'm interning at Microsoft, mentoring engineers, and shipping side projects ranging from SaaS platforms to crypto trading bots.
An AI-native expert research platform.
TrueStar runs two research tracks in parallel and merges them into one cited report. Primary research is live, AI-moderated expert interviews — a voice agent named Aria interviews vetted human experts over LiveKit, paying them per interview via Stripe Connect. Secondary research is TARS: four specialized AI agents that independently research the open web, debate their findings, cross-check claims, and produce a synthesis with a hallucination audit and grounding score.
Sub-second voice agent over LiveKit WebRTC (Deepgram STT · Azure OpenAI · Fish Audio TTS) conducting ~10-minute expert interviews.
Four adversarial agents (Data Scientist, Investigative Journalist, Domain Expert, Devil's Advocate) debate, reflect, and synthesize an auditable verdict with cited sources.
Namespace-scoped retrieval over expert documents — text-embedding-3-large into Pinecone with Cohere Rerank 3.5.
Four services on a shared Docker network: React 19 SPA + Express API, FastAPI RAG, FastAPI multi-agent orchestrator, and the voice worker.
Ordered by today's most in-demand skills — AI/ML and distributed systems first. Every card links to its repo.

I gravitate toward the hard parts of software — distributed systems, real-time data, and the architecture that keeps them resilient. Three years in fintech taught me that maintainable, well-tested code beats clever code every time.
I reach for AI where it genuinely earns its place, pair it with deterministic safeguards, and care about the details — performance, accessibility, and the small interactions that make software feel considered.
I'm open to software engineering internships and new-grad roles, and always up for a conversation about distributed systems, AI, or a good side project.
